FESTIVAL OF FRUIT AND FLOWER 

 

Ambato is commonly dubbed Ecuador's "garden city" and this rings true at the annual Fruit and Flower Festival. There are music, dance and sports events across town and a traditional blessing given to the fruit and flowers in the cathedral.

This festival will be held from 17 to 21 February will be held the 61 th edition of the Festival of Flowers and Fruits in Ambato, year to year the number of visitors from around the country and the world.

During the two week Festival of Fruit and Flowers the city of Ambato comes alive with parades, pyrotechnic displays, exhibitions and copious amounts of peach-flavored wine. Fruit of some sort is always in season in Ecuador, but the fruit in Ambato – particularly pears and apples – are at their very best in February.  In addition to a large variety of other flowers, the most stunning roses grow and bloom profusely in the volcanic soil.

The festivities include very popular beauty pageants where girls from the local high schools and universities compete for the title of “Reina” or Queen of Ambato. 

In conclusion is that  the colorful Festival of Fruit and Flowers is an event that tourists who travel to Ecuador do not want to miss, becouse is the festival helps to conserve the envairoment and don't spend the non-renewable resources as is the water.

My family is very big. My father's name Francisco Narváez. He is farmer. he is 73 years old. My mother's name Esperanza Jaramillo. She is hausewife. She is 59 years old. I have three brother, their names are Leonardo, Francisco and Miguel. I have eight sisters, their name are Patricia, Ligia, Diela, Eumelia, Melba, Mirtha, Luz, and  Yolanda.

Patricia, Ligia, Diela and Eumelia are teacher. Melba is nurse. Luz and Yolanda are student. They are studying in UPEC university. 

MY INTERESTS

Apart from study. I'm interested in play the guitar. I also love watching movies for example TITANIC. this movie is very romantic. also I like lisening to the romantic music. I like fit too so I do aerobics once a week. My favorite spare - time activity is handing out with my family or my frieds.
